How long should i wait before i get a blood test done?

I am in between wanting a baby and not wanting one :s
i have always wanted a boy and girl i already have a girl ...
but my other half doesnt want anymore he has two before i came and one with me
so i dont know how he ll take it...

I would do one now if you are already late (or close to being late) it should give you an accurate answer.

A lot of people can trick their bodies into believing their pregnant. If you keep coming up negative and you feel sure that you are pregnant then get a blood test done now since they can come up positive even a couple days after conception since a beta HCG can tell you exactly how much you have to have in your system. but my af hasnt come this month
it has been irregular the over the summer (May,JuneAug,Sept)
this month it hasnt come yet Last month it came Sept 19
and hasnt come this month...which is why i ask about vlood test...
i feel alot further along but these tests are negative and i was reading other womens stories and some of them were pregnant with negative tests..
i have a majority of symptoms too...

kfent gave some good advice on this. A blood test can pick up pregnancy a lot sooner then a HPT test from what I understand. Good luck

Did you do a HPT? If so my Dr. said it wasn't necessary the best way to detect preganancy after  a positive HPT is an US.
