Positive hpt Negative beta

So I got a BFP on my hpt and had a beta done 2 days later and it came back at <2. The nurse was rude and told me to call back in 2 weeks if AF doesn't show. I'm confused and sad.

Wow I agree your hubby is very insensitive.you should make him,look at these forums,it happens alot.it possible what you saw was an evap line,extremley common hun.dont give up.as for the nurses,they are never very tactful when it comes to things like these.

To be honest your husband needs to be a little more supportive towards you, and i would retest again in 2 weeks like recommended, I'm sorry that this has happend to you and im sure if you are pregnant when you go back and test your husband should be ashamed of himself.

You husband is an idiot, I wouldn't be telling him anything...these things happen, TTC is never easy and he isn't a very supportive person by what I gather.

It was one of the FRER. I'll be okay it's not the first time to be disappointed. But now my husband is accusing me of lying or being pregnant and getting rid of the baby. OMG this has not been a good experience and I think I will no longer be ttc.

What kind of test was it. It's possible that there could have been a lab error (I have no idea how common these are though. I would imagine not very) or false positive/evap line. If your test was really under 2 that definitely would be a negative for pregnancy, and wouldn't even show up on a HPT.

you may have waited to long to read the test, after ten minutes you can get a false positive.
