Why did it bother me so much????

Ok I don't want to cause any controversy but I was at Walgreens and was picking up Julians meds when a young girl and her friend walked up and asked the Pharmicist for something! I noticed the tech rolled her eyes and kinda acted pissed and I was thinking ok thats stupid until she walked back with a box..... Plan B now I am very much so Pro life but understand that peoplemake their own choices and have to live with them!!!  I got really upset and just went crazy..... Is it normal to feel this way????? It almost hurts too bad!

I wouldn't call the manager. If it's like every other pharmacy out there you can't hear what's being said between them. Maybe she started off the conversation with some off the wall- eye rolling- remark.  Just because you see something doesn't mean it relates directly to the outcome.

I am very pro-life, but I would rather have them use a condem, and Plan B to prevent pregnancy than to get an abortion. All of us who have tried, and tried to get get pregnant know that it takes a few days for the egg to implant, and sometimes it won't even do that so taking Plan B a few hours after sex is just like using a condem, in my opinion.

I would never get an abortion, but if I wasn't married and not ready to have a baby you bet I would be on the pill, using condems, and plan B.

I'd call the manager...it is unacceptable behavior from someone whose job is to dispense medication etc.  Some people!

It would have bothered me A LOT to see such attitude from the pharmacist.  Its not his business, the girl has a choice, its her life.  A pharmacist is no counselor, psychologist, family member or priest, he has NO right to judge.  I would probably have been calling the manager of the pharmacy to complain about his attitude. In any case Plan B is to avoid implantation/pregnancy, its the same as taking 6 birth control pills.  Its not an abortion pill.
Joy-  That's really sad, I wish that her friends would have been more supportive instead of laughing, that probably would have made it an even more traumatic experience.  I'm sure the girl was terrified because 1) its probably the first serious desicion she has done in her life, realized how dumb it was to have sex and not use protection 2) her parents didn't know and she was probably hiding/lying to them and she didn't have their support in her desicion.
She may not have chosen differently given the chance, she may have continued with the abortion, but it helps having the support of friends and family going through in this tough desicion.  Abortion is never something that's a joke to anyone.

Oh and this actually reminds me of the time that I went to a Planned Parenthood (for a test) when I was 18 or 19. I was in the waiting room, waiting to go back and take the pregnancy test. There were three other girls in the waiting room, all friends. The one girl in the middle was shaking like a leaf and was about 14 or 15 years old. Her friends were joking and laughing over her head and saying, "You'll get it over with and move on. That guy was such a jerk anyway! I can't believe your mom doesn't know!" And then one of her friends got on the phone and said, "Yeah, we're at Planned Parenthood with _____" and laughed.

I had no clue what they were talking about and tried to mind my own business. But when the nurse called her back, she grabbed her friends arms and said, "You HAVE to come back with me. I'm so scared!" The nurse told her it would be quick and painless. I realized then she was getting an abortion that day.

I wish I would've spoken up and said something. Anything. Even if she didn't change her mind I would've at least had a chance to give her a chance to change her mind. It still bothers me to this day and I often wonder about that girl.
