I just wanted to acknowledge how awesome Njeosys is! Isn't she just absolutely wonderful?! I couldn't tell you how many times she's answered a question of mine (quickly, too!) and just made me feel so much better. I was wondering, how did you become so knowledgeable about pregnancy?? Did you go to school for it? If not, you truly are a genius!

Yes, you truly are a wonderful help on here!! You seem like such a sweetheart too! I know you have answered questions for me and I really appreciate it! I have The Everything Pregnancy Book, Supernatural Childbirth (it's a Christian book), Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy (HILARIOUS---also read Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy)... I can't remember all the books off the top of my head. I loaned almost every single one to a neighbor.

I write Christian books, and I write POETRY! I took two apprenticeships in poetry and one in playwriting. I hate playwriting, though. I'm currently writing a pregnancy book, so that is another reason I have a lot of fresh knowledge.

I ask a lot of questions and I pay close attention to my experiences (which have also given me a lot of insight). I pay very close attention to what my doc/nurse says and then I research. I LOVE pregnancy. Anything you are passionate about, you will know a lot about. Like my husband LOVES Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4, etc., etc. And so he knows a ton about it!

Again, thank you to everyone else. I've had a lot of arguments and fights on here, so it is truly a blessing to have someone say, "Hey, I appreciate what you do." I can't tell you how many times I've thought, "I'm just going to leave... no one listens!" So thank you again!!!!!!!!

Hmm, thanks! I'm making a trip down to the bookstore on Wednesday - they have half price on half priced books! (Which is actually the name of the store, lol) So I'll definitely have to keep my eye out for them.

I have a good one called My Pregnancy Week by Week, which covers many different issues throughout your pregnancy, and is different than WTEWYE, just to name one.

You're a writer?? What type of stuff do you write? I suppose I could be classified as a "writer" - I've done a few things here and there. I love reading - I'll have to look up on them. Any others that you suggest?? So far I've read:

Today is my first day on here, and I have to agree with you MomNpain!! I even find myself questioning my doctor, who apparently gave me the wrong advice about the "growling" you feel in the first trimester after you eat!! lol    Thank goodness she's not my doctor anymore!!! lol

Aw, that was really sweet of you! I want to go to school for obstetrics. I was thinking sonography, but right now I'm home with my babies. Experience, and READING has led to the extent of what I know. I also volunteer at a crisis preg. center so I have to be on top of most pregnancy-related materials. Believe me, I don't know it all by any means! And I won't hestiate to say I don't know.

I own 25 pregnancy books. One of them is the Mayo Clinic Book of Pregnancy and Baby's First 5 Years. READ, READ, READ! I'm a writer and I read constantly. It truly builds your mind and fills you with knowledge.
