still spotting.. 16 days!! please help

Hi.. here i am again.. I'm still having pinkish to red spotting.. sometimes its brown.. very light.. its on 16 days now!!
I decided to take a full rest than to follow doctors advised (D&C). doctor said I'm 7weeks pregnant. no baby found u/s..

I just ignore things.. but i know this is not normal? my first baby don't experience spotting.. I need to go back to work by thurs! still confused if this is normal.. How important HCG is? is it more accurate or important than u/s?

please help.. I don't know if i still need to have HCG even if my ultrasound is negative(no baby found)???

hi.. thank you ladies for all of your advised.. I remember when I had my first baby.. it is 14 weeks when the doctor do an u/s and he was so small.. so tiny and not normal size of a fetus (based on weeks) and eventually.. by taking right medicines and baby vitamins.. his size back to normal and I delivered a healthy 8 pounds baby boy..

Thanks... tarajanes.. thats what im planning next week before i take ultrasound..

Q: if the the blood test(HCG) is high and then double the next test is there a chances that I'm really having a pregnancy?

sorry.. if i keep asking.. know one to talk to just here in medhelp forum

appreciate any info girl.. thanks :)

I would request a blood test this will tell you at least if there is a pregnancy .by now you would have a half descent level.dont worry about scans for now..get a blood test

I want to tell you, NOT everyone's baby shows that early. I had an ultrasound at almost 5 weeks and nothing was shown. I went back a week later and we saw fetal poles and a few days later a hearbeat.

Plz don't get mad... But sometimes that type of response may scare a girl/woman... every pregnancy is different and altho MOST are seen as early as 4-6weeks, some women's babies develop a bit slower and at different rates, and also can be off on they're dates.

Sorry to say but I don't think this is a good pregnancy. I'm sorry. I was just reading you previous post and you said your last period was June 9. That would make you 10 weeks tomorrow. Even if you got pregnant just before your July period it would make you 5 weeks still a baby, something anything would be seen on an ultrasound.

You can always try again and good luck.
Wish you all the best.

My baby showed on my ultrasound at 4 weeks. At 7 weeks you should see the baby and have a heartbeat but maybe you got your dates wrong then?

Good Luck!!!!

hi.. i decided not to follow doctors advised because. It's just spotting, and not bleeding like the 1st time i had D&C.. and don't feel any back pain or abdominal pain.. and advised to seek 2nd opinion because its too early..and said that its a sign of early pregnancy.... and I'm still hoping for the baby.. and think its too early to detect that baby on us.. doctor based the age of pregnancy on my LMP.. don't know im really confused..
Thanks...
