discharge color change

I am 38 weeks today (yay!) and yesterday I had my regular checkup. I had a little spotting after the exam & I am 1 1/2 cm dialated & 50% effaced . But last night & today I have had a major increase of discharge & it turned from white to like a pale yellow. Does this mean anything?
& any ways to maybe induce labor? Ha I'm so ready for my baby girl to be here (:

I have heard good things about walking also & idk about castor oil either. I've heard it greatly increases the risk of meconium? I think idk I'm gonna try walking for awhile

could you be passing your mucus plug?  I don't know... I never did (that I noticed) with my last pregnancy.

They say you shouldn't try to induce labor yourself before you are 40 weeks, but I'm right there with you!  My last child was born very healthy at 37 weeks.  I am currently 37 weeks & have been researching this subject myself.

1.)  having sex.  If you orgasm it helps promote contractions.  Male semen also contains something that helps ripen the cervix.  prob more enjoyable for your partner than for you...
2.)  Bouncing.  I have read that a bouncy car ride, bouncing on a yoga ball (assuming while sitting??)  or jumping up & down helps the baby drop.  I myself am afraid to full blown jump.  I'm afraid of hurting her.
3.)  fresh pineapple is supposed to ripen the cervix.  I ate a bunch of it last night & only ended up with gas  ;(

4.)  I always hear about castor oil.  This is one I won't try.  Who wants to continuously  crap themselves while in labor?  I hear there are recipies that you are supposed to use for this to be more effective.  also timing is supposedly key, but your on you own with this one.
5.)  walking walking walking.
6.)  There are also different teas you can drink.  I'm also afraid of this.  Herbal teas have not been evaluated by fda.  I'd be afraid of hurting baby.
7.)  spicy food.  My SIL was pregnant with twins last year. she ate mexican food CONSTANTLY (still does)  anyway, her twins were born at 32 weeks...  common for twins or coincidence????
