dizziness with fast heart beat

hi
I am 24 weeks into my first pregnancy. I was giving an exam on computer 2 days back where i had to sit continuously for 8 hours with very little break in between. After 4 hours i suddenly felt my heat beating very fast and within few minutes i started feeling dizzy. i could not have stopped my exam or taken break for next 10 min so i kept my head down for a while and foled my legs up on chair ....and passed that time . after that i took a break and had candies n drinks to boost my glucose level in case it had gone low and i also lie down for a while . I continued with my exam after some break but i kept my legs moving and folded on chair. i did feel dizzy few more times in next 4 hours but moving legs helped me.
I asked my gynecologist about it and she said it might be due to pooling of blood in my leg veins ..but i forgot to mention her that i felt racing of my heart each time just beofe i felt dizzy. Can someone let me know that is it anything to worry about . I have another similar exam coming up in late dec would it be advisable for me to give that exam? do i need to undergo a cardiology checkup?

I had the same thing happen to me starting around that time if not a little before. Turns out that I had low levels of iron which was causing me to practically pass out randomly. I would have you doctor check your levels to see if they are low because if they are you might have pregnancy anemia which you would need to take iron supplements for.
