Too Many ultrasounds cause miscarriage??

Hello everyone. I recently found out that i'm starting 3 months pregnant. My doctor is so nice and understanding. I feel really comfortable with him but only have 1 worry. He said because this is my first baby then he wants me to take the stress off of me by doing ultrasounds every 2 weeks and giving me pictures to make an album of the babys' growth. I was wondering if this is safe for the baby? I hear all different answers, like its ok because hes a doctor and should know what hes doing and others say that it will cause a miscarriage. so please help! thanks so much!
Jazmine.

No worries, I had ultra sounds every other week from 5 weeks to the day my little one was born. I did get to document everything, including the tumbles and head stands she would do in there.

Ultrasounds do not harm the baby, it is perfectly safe, no worries momma :)

I have had 4 of them already, although My doctor was not the one who gave me the last 2.  I did that on my own, at a different hospital.  He wouldnt give me another because I wasnt high risk or anything.  And I really wanted to see my baby again. So I paid for a 3d u/s. My doctor was very angry, not because they can harm the baby, but exactly what cocacolapanda said, they can think they seem something wrong, and worry for no reason.  You should be very happy to get to see your baby a lot.  Most places will only give you one at 20 weeks.

When my mom was preganant with me she was getting ultrasounds very frequently because she had placenta previa and the drs had to make sure that everything would work out naturally and im perfecty fine!

Brittny27 is correct, having ultrasounds does not  cause a miscarriage.  Most miscarriages happen for no detectable reason.  If your dr wants to give you them, I say go for it!  It's amazing to see how much they  grow!

Other dr's don't like to do them because if something doesn't "look" right it could scare them into thinking something's wrong when everything is just fine.  I'm having them more frequently during this pregnancy because I had a missed miscarriage, and I'm SO excited!
