Anemia

I'm 31 weeks and anemic..if I start taking iron pills now I feel like it won't help much. I'm afraid of what happens during and after labor being anemic. Has anyone given birth while being anemic? If so what happened?

yea ur doc should tell u whether u need extra iron pills or not but i think if ur blood platelets are too low when its time to give birth u maybe not able to get an epidural.but u still have plently of time of getting them up.

I'm 26 weeks and aniemic my doctor upd My dosage to two pills a day I worry also

I started taking triple iron when I was 31 weeks and I'm 38 today and it's back to normal but I was that bad I need to take it until I give birth. They work straight away. And nothing would actually happen if you were anaemic and have birth, I asked this. Baby is totally fine because it's taking everything it needs leaving you with nothing and then they check your notes see your anaemic and hook you up to drip to control bleeding

cook in cast iron pans I'm anemic as well and when I cooked with that I don't have to take pills, get shots, or anything else and if your iron gets to high eat onion or radishes or even beats :) red veggies take care of the problem and flush the blood :)

I am 36 weeks and just got told I was anemic as well... I would also like to know...

I'm 39 weeks and just found out I'm anemic!  My dr told me today even tho it was a test they did my first friking visit!! Anyways she told me to start taking them now

Take chlorophyll its natural so you can taje as much as you can handle. It works really fast. Deffinetly should take it so you dont have problems after birth.
