baby detergent

Hey ladies, so I'm finally going to start washing everything that needs to be washed for baby tomorrow. I bought a bottle of the Dreft detergent. My question is, is there any other detergent safe for baby that is not so expensive?! A small bottle of the Dreft cost me I believe around $15. I know I'll be constantly washing his clothes when hes born, just trying to find a detergent that's safe for babys skin but a little less expensive. And also how long before I can use normal detergent that I use for my wash and so on. Thanks in advance :)

Dreft has so much perfume I bought that at first with my laughter but then I switched to all free and clear cause you just don't know if baby will be allergic

My mom with my sister used All free and clear because she had skin problems. She was fine with it:) I have sensitive skin now and that's what I use and plan on it with my son.

Any dye and fragrance free soap should be just fine unless baby ends up having extra sensitive skin.

Purex baby is what I use, its about $5.50 at Walmart. The only downside is some Walmart's don't carry it.

You know,  I never used a special laundry soap with my son mainly because I didn't know I was suppose to... I just used less of it. ( tide ) and no fabric softner or dryer sheets.. and he did just fine. I don't think in going to do that with the twins either.
