no heartbeat 5-6 wks ,2nd ultrasound when im 7-8 wks lost al prego symptoms :s someone plz help

hiya everyone i have had 2 miscarriages in the past 7-8 months . i fell pregnant again (3rd time)before my period i had an ultrasound a week and a half ago,saw gestational sac and my little  peanut :) measuring 5-6 wks but sadly no heartbeat i was told to have a d&c but ordered my hcg levels to be taken first however they  didnt do it they just did another pregnancy test BLOODY ENGLISH DOCTORS!! anyways it was positive does that mean everything is ok?  i have another ultrasound in a week or two by then i shall be 8-9 weeks pregnant(hopefully) basically im just wondering what the "positive means" could it just be saying that because of other hormones down there is making? or does it mean my baby is still alive? im really confused and angry that they didnt check my levels when i asked !!.Also i have lost my prego symptoms .... has this happened to anyone before and stil carried to term? my friend is  16 weeks pregnant and lost her prego symptoms at around 7 weeks if anyone could help that would be brilliant thanks baby  dust to everyone :)

You should defiantly wait, with my previous pregnancy they couldn't see the heart bit at 5 weeks nor at 6 weeks then they managed to see it at 7 1/2 weeks! so its more likely its too early.... best of luck..

It's not uncommon not to see a HB at 5-6 weeks...I can't believe that the Dr. tried to talk you into a D&C without further testing......Hcg levels would have told you a little more than just a pregnancy test......I'm glad that you opted out of the D&C!  Best of luck and let us know how everything turns out!

If I were you I wouldn't make ANY decisions until AFTER you have that repeat ultrasound.  I m/c in Aug 07...got pregnant after 2 cycles.  My first u/s at 5 wks 3 days only showed the gestional sac.  I had symptoms that came and went.  I went back 3 weeks later at 8 wks 3 days and we saw the gestational sac, yolk sac, fetal pole AND heartbeat...just a beatinga way at 181 bpm.  I am now 15wks 2days.  Don't give up hope.  I can't believe those stupid doctors suggested a d & c after not seeing a hearbeat at 5-6 weeks...people RARELY see much more than a gestational sac at the stage.

I found out at 6 weeks and had my first scan at 6weeks 3 days but apart from cramping (which is the reson i suspected pregnancy) i had no other symptoms up until around 8 or 9 weeks.

Just pain (which doctor said is normal)

Im now 12 weeks 3 days and 2nd scan at 10 weeks 2 days was perfect.

I guess its a waiting games but not seeing a heartbeat at only 5-6 weeks shouldnt bee to big a concern.
