Could i be pregnant or isit my cyst playing up?

Hi girls - would love some advice.
Coming up to a month ago i was diagnosed with a 5 cm cyst on my left ovary. I was told if could affect my fertility.
Myself and my partner have been trying for a baby for 8 months now and so far no luck. I went for my ultra sound scan on the 20th of July to diagnose the cyst. It detected no pregnancy. Around about that time, was my most fertile time and we had lots of unprotected sex. - Would the ultra sound pick up on a very early pregnancy?
Iam 6 days late on my period, i feel sick, sore boobs, feel hot ( i have a 4 year old daughter so know the symptoms) What is confusing me - i had all these symptoms when the cyst came about.
Really confused.
I will test but would love some advice here first x

So you have always suffered then :-(
Also being a cyst sufferer did you find it hard to conceive?
Ah see! That feeling yesterday was weired - not like my usualy 'dull' ache cyst pain!
Do you think it sounds as if i could be?

I'm sure at some point they will come back...:(  But it'll be alright I have three big ones a year.  With now being pregnant I don't know what will happen.  Also, I felt a pinching feeling when the egg attached (followed by bleeding after)  so they may have been implantation feelings.  I had that same feeling the last two pregnancies.

Thanks hun for your advice :-)
I dont feel in pain anymore with the cysts to be honest, the pain has died down, but yesterday felt a weired sensation in my belly like a 'pinching nagging' pain, its the only way i can describe it.
Its just all very confusing....are the cysts giving me these new symptoms or am i pregnant. AHHHH
I will def test when i can get to a shop!
Ive done all them online pregnany tests and they all say iam - but i know i cant rely on that.
Hope your cysts have not come back - and glad all has settled for you huni xxx

Did you ever feel the cyst burst?  I had one that was around 4cm and oh god do you feel it when it burst.  I'd say take a test (which you said you were going to do.)  After that cyst burst I had regular cycles from there on out.  The ultrasound wouldn't have picked up then if that was just you most fertile time.  The egg wouldn't have had time to attach to the lining of your uterus.  So you might be pregnant!  Good Luck
