What does this mean moderate amount of free fuild in the culdesac and left adnexa?

I was 8 days late then got a positive hpt which had a light pink line..like they have turned out with both of my kids..went to the doctor with bleeding and cramping only bleed for 2 days not all that heavy then went for a ultrasound and the results came back as moderate amount of free fuild in the culdesac and left adnexa..My blood work came back neg on pregnancy..still haveing pelvic pain by pubic bone and right side pelvic pain.. My doc said i culd be swelling if I had a misscarriage..I need to do another ultrasund in 4 days.Does anyone have any idea what the reults mean..or what the hell is going on im confussed..thank you

It depends on the blood test. There are two different kinds. One is a quantitative blood test which measures the exact amount of hCG in your blood---this test is never wrong unless done too early. The other is a qualitative hCG blood test which just gives a yes/no answer. It's basically a glorified urine test and it CAN be wrong. You need a beta (which is a quantitative blood test) to find out your levels.

Thanks for your response...Wouldnt my blood work come back as pregnant even if its early?It was neg..thats why he think I had a mc..

The most common cause of free fluid in the cul de sac is a ruptured cyst. These also can cause the pain you've been feeling. In terms of pregnancy, it's very possible the ultrasound was done too early. You need beta blood draws to find out what your hCG levels are at and what they're doing.
