Anyone on or was on Clomid?

My DR just put me on 50 mg of clomid. I've never taken it before. For those of you who have taken it how many cycles did it take to get your BFP? Did any of those positives result in multiples? I'm a little nervous about starting clomid but I really want to get pregnant.  Any comments are welcome.

I did one cycle of clomidin and I m psycho sometmes. I noticed. I will try this one on days 3 to 7. I heatd of twins chance of 10%. That would be my dream come true and then I m done. I have an 8 year old daughter.

I tried my first cycle of clomid at 50 mg cd 5-9. I charted my bbt so I would know when I ovulated. I really recommend this!!! I got my bfp 10dpo and I'm now 13w3d pregnant with a singleton! I didn't ovulate until cd 21, so sometimes it takes a little longer to ovulate and if I hadn't been charting, I wouldn't have known.

I bd starting at cd8. Then every day from the day you get your positive opk. So for me it was yesturday, and I bd last night, and for the next 3 days. You are sapose to ovulate within 36 hours of that positive.

Thank you ladies and congrats on your BFPs. I think I might go out and get some more OPKs just for piece of mind. I feel so much better knowing there are others out there like me. Not that I'm glad any of us have to take clomid. I know 4 pregnant people, 3 of them were planned and happened within a month or 2 of trying. It's so hard to see that when you've been trying for a while.

This may be a weird question but I forgot to ask my dr. How often do you or should you BD? haha I just don't want to wear my husband or myself out. lol

Well I got a positive Pops tonight. I'm CD 15. Weird thing I got one last month on CD 13. Clomid makes me emotional also.

I got my BFP on my 2nd round of Clomid. In conjunction with it I took Mucinex starting on cycle day 7 to help thin out my cervical mucous. I did use OPKs both cycles with it and I did ovulate on cycle day 13 I also took the Clomid on days 3-7. I wish you luck with the Clomid.

Oh and be aware of the moodiness you might experience:) I dont want to scare you but it I got pretty emotional on the Clomid and had to focus really hard on being loving toward my husband. Just remind him if you do get snappy or mean that it is the Clomid and not you :)

this was my third cycle on clomid and I've just got my BFP this week and am currently 4wk3days. My first cycle was at 50mg 2-6 and the last two at 100mg 2-6 and 3-7.

OPK did work for me and I ovulated 3 days later on both doses. Re the twins bit I don't know at this stage but am optimistic as I had bloodwork done for other reasons last week and had a progesterone level of 222 which is very high even for clomid ( anything above 30 is good with clomid).

I haven't filled mine yet because it was too late to take this cycle. I will definitely check walmart though.

My DR told me to take it days 3-7. I asked if I needed to continue using OPKs and he said I didn't need to because taking it those days will make me ovulate on day 14. I've read that clomid can give you false positives on OPKs. My DR didn't say that was always the case though.

From what I've read there is a 10% chance of twins and less than 1% for triplets or more. I was just curious as to how often it actually happens.

Yes I am on it. This is my second month. I went to walmart to get them filled because my issurance dont cover it. But and that was the cheapest place to fill it.

Also I was told to take it on  day 5. But I decided day 3 instead. Because I didnt get alot of CM when I used it on cd 5. But this month I have alot.

And yes you can have multiples. Advice get a ovulation predictor kit, and take something else  with it. Like folic acid.
