BABY is MIA! Please help!

I am not sure what to do, just went to the doctor had an ultrasound, and still they could find nothing! This is my 2nd u/s! They also took another blood test, it was 1829, so levels are slowly climbing, but where is baby? My doctor said she did not see anything in my tubes, nor my uterus, I am so frustrated and confused, she also said, I may have miscarried, and want to give the shot to end pregnancy tomorrow if levels have not reached 5000 by tomorrow! Whats going on? My doctor does not think this is a viable pregnancy! My levels started out on friday 1089 then today (mon) 1829.

I am so confused, sad, and frustrated! : (

Thanks for the reasurrance, I am not getting overly excited, but just would feel more comfortable making sure. I would hate to end the pregnancy, and we really didn't need too. I am putting it in God's hands now, if its his will it will be.........

I would never do ANYTHING until you are comfortable with it.  There have been instances where HCG dropped and went back up.  Though it may be a shot in the dark, you shoudl wait until you are absolutely certain.  Good luck.

Got results back from doctor from hcg levels, they dropped from yesterday to today from 1829 to 1680 I am so devestated. Once again my dr told me to come in for the MTX injection to end my pregnancy, but I just couldn't do it! I decided to go see another dr tomorrow, I don't know what I am expecting from a different dr, my hopes have been shot down since my levels have decreased. I guess I am just hoping for a miracle, if levels continue to go down, I will get the shot. I guess I am just hoping to be one of the lucky 15 % who have weird HCG levels, I am probably just not wanting to let go.............but maybe I will have a miracle happen, before it is too late.

I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks exactly and we didn't see a baby.  6 weeks sometimes you can see, and sometimes you can't.  I agree, wait a week or so and see what you can see then.  At my 9 week apt we saw the little bean jumping around and a strong heartbeat!

Try not to get too upset about not seeing anything.  And about your numbers doubling every 3 days, that's not un-common.  I've heard some women's numbers don't increase much yet they have healthy babies.  There's still hope so don't give up yet!

I wouldn't give up hope just yet, but I wouldn't rule out a less than positive out come either if that makes sense.  There is a good chance that it could be too early.

I did see a spike that showed ovulation, I had a v/ultrasound, I just don't know I am so lost, and wondering if I should give up hope. Thanks for everything.

In charting your temps did you have a definate spike or could it be questionable?  Late ovulation or even late implantation could accuont for your days being off.  Even just a few days off could have a significant impact on what you would see on ultrasound.  You typically will not see a fetal pole until 6-7 weeks. It's also not uncommon for a perfectly viable pregnancy to have HCG levels that double a little slower than average or even faster than average. Whether or not they did an abdominal or vaginal ultrasound cuold impact what is seen as well.  With that said there is also the possibility that you are having a chemical pregnancy.  I would insist the doctor wait one more week and repeat the scan.  If you are still not comfortable, get a second opinion.

I would wait. Don't let them force you into anything that you aren't comfortable with. Baby may be too little to see or in a really weird spot. I was 9w 1d when they did my 1st u/s and they had a very hard time finding the baby... he/she implanted all the way in the tip top and my uterus is tipped just so.... making it difficult to find the sac, let alone the baby in it.

Give it time.

I was charting my temps, so I have a good idea when I ovulated, but maybe it implanted late? According to ovulation it would make me right at 6 weeks and 2 days.Would late implantation make a difference? Also does anyone know if there is a possibility that maybe the baby is at a weird position and just cannot be seen yet? Or maybe too high up in the uterus and not seen? Or am I just giving myself false hopes?

I am supposedly 6 weeks 2 days. It seems from my hcg levels they seem to be doubling every 3 days instead of 2? Here are my levels:

3/15- 419
3/17- 649
3/19- 1089
3/22- 1829

What do you think?

From Friday to Mon, I think they should have increased more than they did.  How far along are you, in terms of weeks?  Sometimes it's hard to find a baby when you are very early in a pregnancy.  If the u/s was transvaginal, they can usually see something between 6 and 7 weeks.  I hope everything works out for you.
