sleeping on your back.

Ok I know they say your not supposed to sleep on your back, I'm 26 weeks and I wake up constantly through the night and find myself on my back. even though I change positions I still end up on my back, could that harm my baby because its happening so often, even though I'm correcting the way I sleep when I notice it?

Before i would of said no, your fine but last time i went to the dr he told me that my sons heartbeat raised a lot more when i was on my back and told me not to lay on my back. Thing is im still comfortable on my back so its up too you and talk with ur dr. I cant lay on my back anymore since its dangerous for his life i need to box myself in pillows to make sure i dont roll over.

No it cant harm ur baby dont worry. im 34weeks and wake up most mornings on my back sometimes i go to sleep on my back too. its mostly because ur cramming ur organs not because ur hurting baby. if ur not sore then ur baby is fine in that possition, remember ur baby is protected in the sac which is stronger than most people think. only thing id say about sleeping possitions is avoid sleeping on ur right side as ur vena cava i think its called lol (a main artery) is on ur right side so u dont wanna squash that as it will reduce blood flow round ur body

It won't harm your baby, but your baby will squash your organs.
But if your not walking up you can't be in any pain i assume you would move in your sleep if you were uncomfortable.
If you are worried try using a V cushion between your legs see if that helps keep you in a position.x
