Hey ladies I know your suppose to wash everything before baby gets here in free and clear laundry soap. But how do you keep brand new clothes from having that stuff dry look after you wash it. Is there a secret. Im 29 weeks and I want to wash her clothes but I bought some really nice dresses how do I keep them looking new if I wash them before she ever wears it.

I used dreft with my first cause well my mother bought it.lol after that ran out I just used regular tide with downy and have with every other baby item since. As long as it gets rinsed out properly it should be fine. I understand veins cautious. But I mean if the detergent bothers my kids skin I'd just wash them.in baby soap, like seriously baby body wash, weird I know but my Granny told me to use it.

I hear you, it can be confusing sometimes. I use ALL's free and clear detergent, and the Methods dryer sheets. They smell good too, an unexpected plus. :)

You can use special dryer sheets that are safe for the baby - they sell them at Babies R Us. I got some that are Methods brand, you can find them in their detergent aisle.
