Baby's age

Using the delivery date calculator, I am about 5w6d along. However, I had an early ultrasound, and it reads 8w based on LMP. (Though it looks small for 8 weeks). I have an irregular period about every 45 days or so. And the nurse says 6 weeks. So, what should I believe?

Well early ultrasounds are usually most reliable for due dates, but if your periods are irregular, then going by your LMP isn't as reliable, I'd go with what the nurse says for now until you get farther along, then they can decide how far along you are.

Did they not measure the baby on the ultrasound? By doing an ultrasonic measurement they'd be able to give you the age of the baby and a due date.
