Still having pregnancy symptoms with a very light strange period

I have a very very faint positive last week and then was supposed to start on Sunday and nothing. Got up Monday still feeling sick, fatigued, and had a headache. Didn't have a test to take so was going to go to the store waited all morning because my period normally starts early in the morning. Finally around 11 went to the store to by a test and came back and I started bleeding at 12. Bleed for about 2 hrs not cramps, then it practically stopped. All the while none of my symptoms went away. It has never gotten heavy enough to fill a pad, just stop and start for almost 2 days. Normally I have heavy flow for 2 days and then tappers of for the last 3 to 4. This morning I was laying in bed and almost had to run to the bathroom to keep from throwing up. I do have the test I bought, should I take a test anyway. I am having pain but it is more like a deep ache in my pelvic bone. So what do you ladies think I should do?

Thanks ladies I haven't taken the ibuprofen all day and noticed when I woke up from nap time that the bleeding had stopped. I have an awful headache, severe nausea, and my breast hurt. So I will be taking a test in the morning. Will let you know of the results.

I would use only tylenol until you find out for sure.

I have been taking ibuprofen for the pain in my back and pelvic bone. I wonder if that could be causing the bleeding?

Yeah, many things can cause bleeding during pregnancy. I had bright red bleeding during the beginning of my pregnancy and she's just fine (I'm 30w4d), it wasn't a lot, but it was bright red. It can be an irritable cervix, implantation, or the baby burrowing deeper, sometimes women bleed quite a bit throughout their entire pregnancy and never know why but baby is fine.

Is it possible to have bleeding like this and still be pregnant and everything be ok?

I think you should test, especially if you got a faint positive and you're having a strange period now. If there's any kind of line, faint or not, I would get a blood draw to see what's going on. If you got a faint positive last week, it should be much darker by now, if it's not, it may be an early miscarriage or chemical pregnancy.
