do I pick the date I want it or let the person whose doing it pick the date ?
I agree ^^^ you pick the date. You should pick it based on how far along you will be, how you might feel around the date you choose, and how much time after the baby shower will you need to buy what you didn't receive.
I would say you pick the date. Its all about how you feel and how much time you want to put everything away and see what you still have to get.
