Bleeding after sex :(

I bled after sex yesterday and I'm 12 weeks pregnant??? any ideas as to why this could be?? I'm really scared :(
this is my first pregnancy and I want my baby to be okay. Please help.

Bright red bleeding or brown or pink spotting?  If it was bright red bleeding, you should call your doctor immediately.  If it's just a little spotting, it's likely the result of your very sensitive pregnant cervix getting bumped during sex.  This can cause a little bit of light spotting.  If it doesn't stop within the day, you're having cramping, or you're still having concerns, you shouldn't hesitate to call your doctor.  If the bleeding gets heavier, you should go to the ER.  I've had light spotting following intercourse during my first tri.  My husband is careful not to penetrate all the way these days to avoid it and things have been fine and baby has been safe, so if it's just a little, I wouldn't worry! :)
