thanks! I'm hoping the next cycle will be better. I really appreciate the encouraging words! The past several cycles I've had have been regular, but in the past irregular cycles were a usual thing for me. Before I was on birth control they were very irregular. Then on the pill obviously that controlled the length and timing of my cycles. Since I've been off the pill, they were regular up until this one. I am trying not to get so frustrated. It's encouraging to hear the stories of people who went through similar things and are still mommies <3
Well, I know periods can be weird sometimes. I've never had a regular period without medicine. Maybe you just didn't O this cycle?? I have had cycles anywhere from 9 days to 54 days, so I'm not sure I would be much help on this one!? I know how frustrating it can be though. Hopefully next cycle will be better!
I just knew it was way too early for implantation...sigh.. the BD was not rough because I have been sore from such frequent BD (trying HARD to have a baby!!) so that wasn't it. When I first posted, it was just bright red spotting, but now it is heavy like a period with small clots like you would normally have on your period. In fact, I'm almost POSITIVE it's my period. But the thing is, I have no idea WHY I'm having another period when I had one 2 weeks ago. I *thought* I O'ed on Tuesday. That's when I was supposed to O and I even felt twinges of pain in the ovary areas that I attributed to ovulation pain and that got my hopes up even though I never got a positive OPK. I learned that my LH surge may happen when I am sleeping and I just never caught it on the OPK. Anyway... I guess I'm just really confused as to why I am having another period 2 weeks after I had one. It's like I skipped the fertile week altogether and went straight back into a period. Any ideas?
Well, implantation can occur anywhere from 6 -12 days after ovulation so I think you are a little early for implantation bleeding. I really wouldn't know what would cause that spotting. Maybe you were just a little rough during your BD??
okay, so today my hubby and I did the BD and I practically did a handstand lol.... then I didn't ever get up to go to the bathroom afterwards because I work tonight so I went straight to sleep once I laid back down flat. I slept for about 4 hours without getting up and when I did get up to go to the bathroom, I had a little bit of bright red blood when I wiped. It's much too early for implantation bleeding if I'm pregnant; any idea what this may be?
I will :) I want to bathe in baby dust lol!
Good luck! Let us know what happens!
Now begins the dreaded 2WW.
today is supposed to be my O day, but i just took the OPK - i work night shift so i can't sleep all night then use FMU - so i haven't drank anything or peed for 4 hours and the test was still nothing but a faint line :( i'm not sure what is going on. we're gonna go ahead and BD anyway and hope for the best.
If you read the instructions some of the tests acctually tell you to use the first morning urine.
Answer brand(from walmart)its a little cheaper too. Good luck
thank you. what brand did you use?
I was getting faint lines also. My re recommended to not use fmu on ovulation tests. You should take them between 10am and 2 pm. And sure enuff I got the dark lines on the tests. Good luck.
thank you, i certainly will!
We were trying for about 2 years before we got pregnant. We went to the fertility specialist after 1 1/2 years of trying. It took them awhile to do all the tests for us (it took my husband a long time to get the SA he needed, his work was being difficult). They wouldn't do further testing on me until DH had his SA done. So that's why it took 6 months after we went to see them. They say if you try for a year and don't get pregnant you should go to a specialist. I waited the extra 6 months because I couldn't imagine what would have been wrong, we are both young and healthy so I was just hoping it would happen on it's own. But no luck and the reason we went with the IUI was because of male factor infertility, and I wasn't ovulating regularly. I ovulated on my own just not every month, so the medicine helped with that as well. I have heard of women just taking medicine to help egg growth and ovulation but still trying naturally with just a BD. So that's an option too. I wish you the best of luck with everything! Let us know how things are going!
thanks kitkat, i appreciate it!! how long did you ttc before you went with iui? just curious in case i have the same issue :)
When I was using OPK's I would still acctually use first morning urine. I also had the same issue with only getting faint lines so I finally switched over to the digital tests. They are WAY more expensive but well worth it not to play the guessing game. It made it a lot easier for me to tell when I O'd. I have very irregular periods anywhere from cd9 to cd34 so I also tested every day. It was costly but it was great to know the exact days. I did end up getting pregnant with an IUI but still wouldn't take back using the digital tests before that! Good luck and tons of baby dust to you!!!~
yes, i test every day until my period starts. then on the last day of bleeding, i begin testing again. thanks for the advice. if one more month goes by with nothing but faint lines, i definitely will need to make an appointment. thanks again :)
Do you continue to test right up until your period comes? Because you could be ovulating late..as many do. Or like u said, you may not be ovulating. I would go and see your doc, and ask for a test to check you are ovulating. If thats the case, there are things they can do to help :)
It is between 28-32 days. I test every day, that's how bad I want a baby! I have never gotten more than a very faint line. It is discouraging :(. I hold my bladder for at least 3 hours and try to drink as little as possible. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I hope that the issue is not that I don't ovulate. That would be devastating.
How long is your average cycle? And when are u using the OPK's? It could be that you're testing too early... I suggest not peeing for a few hours or more before doing them.
