Rice Cereal

My son is 15 weeks old and we're thinking of adding Rice Cereal to a couple of his bottles. I was just wondering which brands of rice cereal you moms have tried and liked. Any you recommend?

Thanks Girls! Right, I would only use it in 1 or 2 bottles a day and its only to keep the lil guy full! I feel like he drinks a lot of formula and he eats so often and he still seems hungry. I've been told it helps keep them fuller and I know a lot of Moms who have done this and has been Okayed by their babys doctor. Thanks, I think I'm going to pick up some today!

Oh yeah, it's perfectly fine to use Rice cereal.  Expecially at bed time.  Worked wonders!!  Good Luck!!

Jess, I am glad to hear Im not the only one who did. My doctor told me to do it for Sarah at 3 months....because she was drinking WAY too much formula! She was never full!

I used Beechnut or Gerber.  I was told by my daughters doctor to do this.  I actually started Rice Cereal in her bottle way before 15 weeks.  It just never seemed like she was getting full enough after her bottles and she would always spit up after her bottles.  Everyone I ever talked to said they did they same.  My daughter is now 5 and perfectly healthy.

Beechnut......thats what we use in Sarah's morning and night time bottle.

Gina, be prepared for many people to tell you to NEVER put cereal in a baby's bottle, I had people tell me that when I had asked. However, Sarah's doctor told me it was okay so I would imagine that he wouldnt tell me if it wasnt!
