My friends son was born at 30w and weighed only 4lbs, he was in for 6w after being born cause he was so tiny.    He is 9 months now and still wears 3-6month clothes x

16 week old baby would not have a week or two stay at the hospital .

I know you guys are probly like this chick is dumb lol but im so curious and confused like it was a miracle she was posting pictures of her baby saying "she came 5months early and were so shocked she doesnt need breathing tubes but were keeping her in the hispital just to be safe" and this morning she posted a status she got releast from the hospital but she has to go back for a cheek up.

Well her doctors must of been dumb because they told her shes due around November early oct. and wat i mean by full grown was she didnt need to breathing tubes.anything. the baby was really small and so they kept her in i think 2 weeks or 3. Weeks so they can see if they missed anything because they were shocked the baby was breathing on its own , but everything was fine and shes now home. Idk if the ultrasound was wrong or wat but i know it sounds impossible but it happened.

Im following a wee baby on facebook who was born when his mummy was at 23weeks pregnant, hes now over 60days old and doing well although still in nicu. His page name is aj's journey.. Go have a look he is a wee blessing. Its possible for them to survive but defo not possible to be fully developed and grown if u know what i mean.

It had to of been a typo if she was in her 4th month and the baby survived. I did some research and the youngest baby I found to have survived birth was born at 22 weeks weighing in at 10 ounces

Did you mean 5 weeks early?

I'm pretty sure she meant 5 weeks not 5 months , although at 5 months they estimated my baby around 2.6 pds and they said that was big lol

Maybe you meant 5 weeks early? A baby born at 4 months would not be anywhere near full grown/healthy

5 months early the baby would be in the NICU for sure. Maybe your friend was wrong about her due date?

First off, its impossible to give birth five months early and have a baby that comes out the size of a full term baby. five months early that baby isn't even a pound in weight. Are you sure you've got the correct time on how far along she was? Also pregnancy being ten months long (40 weeks) everyone is different, every pregnancy is different, and there is no true way of preventing what is inevitable, they can slow down or stop your labor for the tome being if you start having preterm labor, but eventually they will decide nog to intervene anymore or they won't be able to stop or slow it down. There's nothing you can do but eat healthy, make sure you're sleeping well enough, taking prenatal vitamins every single day, not smoking, drinking or doing drugs, avoiding activities that could cause trauma to your abdomen, etc. Otherwise the only thing you can do is wait and watch for songs or symptoms and let your doctor know.

If the baby was healthy and full grown your friend was most likely wrong about her due date. I don't know if it's even possible to have a baby survive at four months.
