Mine took a month to heal, you do want to make sure there latching right, my daughter was, but my nipples bled, and scabbed, it hurt so bad! Ive always had really sensitive nipples and I think thats why. It was really worth sticking it out though, hopefully yours wont get as bad as mine did. Breastfeeding is awesome.
Make sure your get your entire nipple in the mouth or it will kill, I'd say between one and two weeks they will start getting tougher and went hurt as much
Your doing a great thing ebf your baby. Yes it hurt and it totally ***** but lanolin is good but your breast milk helps too! Once your baby is done, express a little and wipe your nipple with it. Sounds weird but it helps lol
You might have your baby latched on incorrectly, but i know there are other things to help like nipple cream. & Yes it is going to hurt it might also be because ure nipples are not used to the breastfeeding. Now ure milk is going to come in any day now n your boobs will get so engored with milk n will hurt the best way to releive the engourgement is to use a breastpump to take some of that milk out. As for the pain But you are doing a great job by exclusively breastfeeding your child its one of the best things you can do for your childs health just keep going dont give up i promise it gets easier as the time goes by
Mine hurt all the time i was breast feed , sorry for the bad news hope your dont i still did it for 3 mouths but was so hard
Thanks for the advice (: ill have to give it a try. I just don't want to give up because of the pain.
Unfortunately it can take a couple of weeks. Until ur nipples build that toughness just keep the moisturized. My mom says vitamin E or D....i think its E lol apparently helps a lot!
