Breat feeding

Ok so my grandma mother and sister were not able to breat feed with their babies i am 5 month pregnant with a baby boy and this is my first pregnancy i want to breast feed nothing but good things come out of it

(also i have a very small amount of liquid coming from my breast and its clear too)
but my worry is bcuz my grandma couldnt breast feed bcuz of her nipple shape idk why my mom couldnt breast feed
(i asked her when i was young she said we didnt like it then i become pregnant i ask again she says idk why i couldnt)
but my sister just 2 yrs ago had a little girl and she could only breast feed for 2 weeks and she was dried up...

so i have 2 questions 1) was she not doing it right? what is the reason her breast milk dried up????

and 2) now that im lactating at month 5 is this promising that i will be different from them and be able to breast feed with my son? what are the chances i could be just like them???

Dont think your body won't make enough milk. It knows exactly how much the baby needs and you will make more and more as the baby gets bigger. Your body just knows.

Agreed with texxasbby. Honestly most women are able to breastfeed but come up with excuses as to why they cant. Its like 5% of women actually cant breastfeed. Also pumpin isnt an accurate determination I and how much you produce so dont go by that because some women just dont respond well to a pump when they have a really good supply. If baby doesnt take to breast because of the shape like your grandma you can use a nipple shield.  Breasteeding is very time consuming and hard but it is so worth it in my opinion. I hope some of my tid bits of info help. Good luck.

They have meds you can take if you "dry up". I've been bf for almost three months :) its not easy at first. Usually women think they don't have enough milk and they do. There's all kinds of things you can try to do before you just give up. Also just because they weren't able to bf does not mean you can't good luck

Breastfeeding feeding is always better but sometimes the baby can't latch on properly or you may not produce enough for the babies needs you could always try expressing and feeding from bottle if baby can't latch on this could help but if you gave questions ask your midwife/health visitor hope this helps x
