READ MY POST JUST WENT THROUGH THIS ITS A CALCUIM DEPOSIT AND ITS A SOFT MARKER FOR DOWN SYNDROME IT DOES NOT MEAN YOUR BABY WILL HAVE DS AND DOES NOT AFFECT THE HEART I HAD TWO SOFT MARKERS AND DID THE AMINO AND EVERYTHING CAME BACK SOO DONT WORRY THE CALCIUM SPOT ALONE MEANS NOTHING AND MY BLOOD RESULTS CAME BACK GREAT TOO
Just like mommabear mine showed a bright spot in the bowel at 20 weeks and went away. I am now 37.5 weeks. They said it could be calcium deposit, infection, or it may just go away. Try not to stress to much about it. Mine was gone at the next ultrasound and I got follow up ultrasounds every three weeks. It hasn't come back but it nice to get to see baby so often.
What does she mean, you tested negative? You had the quad screen testing done? Or the CVS/amnio testing?
But I didn't have the white spot on my baby's heart, it was on her bowels, her little belly area. There's really nothing anyone can tell you about what it means until your next ultrasound, but if it makes you feel better my baby's little white spot was gone by the follow-up ultrasound, and in the several I've had since then...so false alarm. Trust me I know it's hard not to panic, but hopefully it's a false alarm for you too.
