Bright spot on heart

I had a mid ultrasound at 19 weeks & today I turned 20 weeks and nurse called me to tell me they found a bright spot on heart. What could this mean? I asked her if it meant my baby had a chance of down syndron but she said no I tested negative on that. Im so worried and scared and know nothing and still waiting for specialist to call and set up my 2nd ultrasound. Anyone gone through this? Its my first baby & im 25.

Just like mommabear mine showed a bright spot in the bowel at 20 weeks and went away. I am now 37.5 weeks. They said it could be calcium deposit, infection, or it may just go away. Try not to stress to much about it. Mine was gone at the next ultrasound and I got follow up ultrasounds every three weeks. It hasn't come back but it nice to get to see baby  so often.

What does she mean, you tested negative? You had the quad screen testing done? Or the CVS/amnio testing?

But I didn't have the white spot on my baby's heart, it was on her bowels, her little belly area. There's really nothing anyone can tell you about what it means until your next ultrasound, but if it makes you feel better my baby's little white spot was gone by the follow-up ultrasound, and in the several I've had since then...so false alarm. Trust me I know it's hard not to panic, but hopefully it's a false alarm for you too.
