Second IVF, Progesterone Level is 21.2

Hi Everyone,

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since May of 09.  Our first IVF attempt of 2 embryos did not work and we are now working our second attempt of 3 embryos, praying that we have at least one healthy child.  We went into today for the first blood draw after the second IVF transfer (the transfer was on 01/30) and was told that my progesterone level is 21.2.  I am currently taking progesterone suppositories vaginally and my DR wants me to start taking progesterone pills.  Should I be taking 2 forms of progesterone?  Will it help us sustain a pregnancy?  If 21.2 is consider low, at what level should it be?  Please keep us in your prayers as we do the same for you all.

Thanks!

Your level does sound ok.im sorry i thought you meant you were already pregnant,
obviously your awaiting to see.they wouldnt put you on a higher dose yet, until a confirmed pregnancy.level sounds ok,now you must play the waiting game,im sure once you have a definate answer, they may increase your progesterone.wishing you all the best, and fingers crossed for you hun.

Im not sure what the level should be but im sure your level is ok for this early stage.what dosage are you on,i was on 400mg twice a day.until i was 34 weeks.the suppositries are the best as it gets to where it needs to quicker.progesterone will help a pregnancy,if its viable,if it isnt then there is nothing you can take to prevent it.im sure your fine hun, congrats and enjoy your pregnancy.
