Why do think that sareney? They are completely solid like mesh shoes very tiny mesh just to make it breathable. I out mine on our crib by myself it's very snug fitting and secure there is absolutely no where fit baby to get a limb out until it's pulling itself up then could get an arm it above it but they cover ab a good 7 or 8 in above the mattress.

I'm using a bumper pad I did with my son and he was fine. I don't like the mesh ones they don't look like they will stop the baby's from putting their hands or feet through the bars and risk breaking something

I am using a mesh crib liner. The bumpers on my opinion are not safe. Done will even argue the safety of the mesh until at least a certain age.

I put one on mine, but my daughter won't be here till next month. She won't be in the crib till around 2-3 months anyways. Some say its safe cus baby can roll into it and suffocate, there are mesh ones out there so incase they were to roll into it they can still breathe. Mines not a mesh though, but I'm not to worried about.

Crib bumpers are not recommended because of the risk of suffocation. If you decide you really just have to have one, be sure to get a mesh one that baby can breath through if they get stuck against it.
