7 WEEKS PREGNANT

My wife is seven weeks pregnant and from undergoing ultrasound there were no signs of a heartbeat and the embryo was very small. Our physician has told us to visit him again next week. we are obviously very concerned. What are the chances we will here a heartbeat? and what are the reasons for this to happen?

Thanks for your time.

I am going through that very same thing now! I should be 8wks, but my ultrsound put me at 6wks, and the doc. wanted me to have a D&C. I was so scared but I knew I haven't been having any problems, so I convinced myself to go for a second opinion, I go on Thurs.! I will pray for you and your wife, our blessing come from being there for others and I have faith that we both will be just fine!

I had a very similar problem about 2 weeks ago.  The doctor couldn't find a heartbeat and said the baby was small.  He even said it looked like we were having a miscarriage.  When we went back a week later, he found a heartbeat.  Keep praying.  Miracles still happen every day.

I was only 7 weeks and 5 days pregnant when i went in for my fist check-up. The doctor was not able to find the heartbeat either. but aftet the second ultrasound she was able. My baby is a happy 5year old not. Don't loose faith God is with you, your wife and that unborn bundle of joy. I'll keep your family in my prayers.

God Bless.
