is back pain a early sign of pregnancy?

I am ttc and I've been having unusual back pain for the last week. My period is supposed to start on Friday. Ive also taken a test and it was negative. I was just wondering if anyone has experienced back pain as an early pregnancy symptom.

When I was pregnant, I had lower back pain the first trimester.  The doctor told me that it was a result of my uterus (and other body parts) moving to make room for the baby.  Now that I am not pregnant anymore, the backpain has gone away.

Maybe back pain is part of PMS?  Not sure.  But possible.

I already suffer from lower back pain, nothing major...my back pain was doubled when i got pregnant and tripled when I was going though a missed carriage... I hope this helps...
