CLEANING ADVICE!mamas please help its urgent!

Okay so I just got my new room with my boyfriend that we will be staying in with the baby but the gross guy who lived.in it before us was ewww just ewww he smoked soo much (not in room) he drank alot he was so messy nd dirty huge stains on the carpet ok so I got the carpet cleaned put 2 fans in the room opened up the windows to try and air it out put frebreeze and most of the smell is gone but theres enough there that bothers me nd im almost 35 weeks and I really want to get this smell gone so I can put furniture in there okay so does anyone have any advice of how to get ride of the smell please help!

I already got the carpet professionaly washed:/ and okay ill see about the walls and.sadly I cant rip the carpet out because we are renting

Wow this website is handy.  I wouldn't have thought to wash or paint the walls,  or clean the lightbulbs.  Also mentions air filters.

Can you tear out carpet?

Wash the walls and you may have to get rid of the carpet cause it could be too stinky to save.

Have you located the source of the smell?  is it the carpet,  or have the walls also absorbed the smell?

Baking soda and vinegar do amazing things to take out smells and stains.
