After a d&c

I had a miscarriage at almost 7 weeks.  I had a d&c about a month later July 18th of this year.  My doctor told me I would start my cycle about 4-6 weeks later.  On august 12th I began bleeding and it continued until september 13, sometimes just spotting and sometimes heavier with clots.  I called the dr. and they put me on birth control, which I have been on for about 4 weeks now and other than about 2-3 days since I started it I am still bleeding.  The doctor says just wait until I have finished a month's worth of bc, but I just don't feel great about it.  For about the past two weeks I have been getting back pain and really sharp cramps in my lower belly.  I don't have a uti, I'm just not sure what to think.  This was my first miscarriage.  Does anyone know if this sounds normal or should I ask for a second opinion.

It takes about 3 months for your periods to become regular again. If your doctor isn't concerned than I wouldn't be... but you can always go to another doctor to get a second opinion

i had i d&c about the same time you did and i started my first period about 5 or 6 weeks after and i had a normal period. i would be a little worried too. i think you should get another opinion if i were you. things may be ok but when it comes to bleeding alot and with clots you can never be too careful. how big are your clots?
