I agree, there's not an excuse.. you're responsible for another life, you only have to wait nine months..i'm sorry to say it can result in cot death, still birth and can have horrible effects on you too. I am not trying to sound horrible but you need to know it's serious, and unfair to your unborn baby that you could cause him/her problems for the rest of their lives.. here are some facts..

Good luck with quitting, I know its hard, but I did stop cold turkey with both of mine and so it is possible. :) all the best.
I find the will to quit is easier when you have another life to worry about. Throw away the pack and tell friends/family not to smoke around you. I quit cold turkey every time this is my third pregnancy. Been smoking since 15, I'm 25 now and there is no excuse to keep smoking while pregnant.
I don't smoke but I work at a store when one of my regular cigerate buying customers became pregnant I started refusing her sales and she didn't drive so that was the only place where she could buy them she would be furious with me at first telling me I couldn't do that and I shouldnt have but I did and she thanks me cause she was able to quit and is pregnant again
Ps its not worse for baby if you quit cold turkey every cigarette is harmful. I quit during both pregnancies the moment I got ny positive test result and didn't touch one again whilst pregnant good luck just think.of your baby.
Just read about what smoking can do to your unborn child.. if that doesn't put you off nothing will.
I just quit 100%. using wellbutrin .... took about a month of being on it but this past two.weeks nothing..... I.got as bad as I.was smoking normal.just bc I was being selfish ia what it.boils down to I'm 24 weeks pregnant ask.for.this and the.sooner the better ;-)
Im 15 weeks and still have one every once in a while...like 1 or 2 every other week...with my first 2 boys i smoked at least 1 time a dat...start weaning yourself down as much as you cani handle...its actually worse for the baby if you quit cold turkey...sometimes with my last 2 i would just smell a cigarette and that would help...chewing gum helped with the cravings as well...good luck and dont stress over it too much.
I feel so guilty too. I've thrown full packs away and swear I'm done, but a few hours later, I'm craving a cigarette and going to buy some. I feel like I'm failing my baby by not being able to quit cold turkey!
I quit with all 3 of mine I just always thought of how bad I would feel if something happen to them. Every time I would go to smoke one I would just feel so guilty. It was hard but now I can be around people that smoke and not even think about it
Ok thank you, I'll try those, I appreciate it!
I am having the same trouble...but im almost 13w. ): I feel so guilty when I smoke. But I do it anyway...
Distract yourself. Go walking or clean house, chew flavored gum. (Dessert gum tastes wonderful.) Brush your teeth. Makes you want to avoid things that will dirty them.
