Vivid Dreams...

Ok so I had time dream last night and it was extremely vivid... I am not sure if this is caused by my pregnancy hormones, insomnia, the Unisom that I have been taking for the insomnia, or what. Anyone with any experience with having the vivid dreams during pregnancy please try to help me understand what happened, my dream went like this: I was working in a office building about 10 stories up. We were celebrating something (still unclear what this was) but we celebrated by throwing money off of the roof of the building to the people below. It wasn't like they were poor or anything like that just normal people. We went up to the roof and started throwing the money off and all of the sudden it starts raining out of nowhere. And then it happens BAM I get slapped in the face and I mean HARD! I feel the light headedness and I see the stars and feel the hot burning on my face. I then woke up and sat straight up in bed... and my nose was bleeding. SO weird... Was it due to blood pressure (I know a little bit of medical stuff and I kinda figured it was due to blood pressure because the dream was so vivid)? My husband said that I was startled awake about 6 times in an hour like I was having terrible dreams or something and I can't seem to figure out why. I am going to be talking to my doctor about something prescribed to help with my insomnia because I can't keep taking Unisom like its candy, but can someone please give me some insight? It totally freaked me out lol.

Losing- I have a doctor's appointment on Monday and I will definitely discuss this problem with my doctor. I was on Trazadone (which is a highly sedative med for insomnia and anxiety) and I haven't been able to take it in about a year due to my fertility meds and now being pregnant. I will definitely ask the doctor about the melatonin because I swear that I have tried everything under the sun to try and to help me sleep. I have had insomnia since I was 17-18 (it got really bad and I had the worse time sleeping and didn't sleep most nights and I can't do that because I am pregnant and need my sleep) and it has been flaring up ever since. Even when I do sleep it isn't quality sleep and I am afraid that it is going to affect the rest of my life! Ughhhhh!

You probably have, but i'll mention it in case. HAve you tried taking OTC melatonin to help you sleep?  A few years back I had really bad truoble falling and staying asleep, I tried several prescribed sleep aids...but they either left me hung over or knocked me out so bad i didn't hear my kids get up, etc. My mom suggested the melatonin and it worked FAR better thant he Prescriptions.

I have had some extremely unique and strange and very realistic dreams during my pregnancies.  I dont' even bother trying to find "hidden meaning" behind them anymore. Some of them are just so bizarre that I figure there can't possible be any meaning to it.

Waitn:  I've had the same dream before, scares the h-ell outta me until i realize its a dream

Don't worry. Dreams during pregnancy can seem so real, and be so freaky! I had one not that long ago where I had started bleeding, and I had on a pad. I looked at my pad and there was my baby. I picked it up and it fit on my fingertip, looked just like a baby but sooo tiny. It freaked me out! And I remember it happening with Elijah too. I don't think it's anything big to worry about, but if you're not sleeping good then ask your dr about something that will help more. You definitely need to be getting your rest!
