Help me Im dying!!!

Ok so im 6 months pregnant and I feel so sick! I spent the first trimester sick 24/ 7 and I thought I was over it. Today though I feel really crapy. I threw up earlier and have had diarrhea (sorry tmi I know) all day just about every hour. I have been taking tums to help but they have done NOTHING and then i found out that they dont even do anything for diarrhea!!! I just really feel terrible! Is there some other medicine that might work better? Also I dont think its a big deal but should I be concerned that Im sick??? I had a check up this last week and they said everything was fine then but you know how it is when youre pregnant, you just worry alot. Any help would be great.

It might be coincidental that you picked up the stomach flu and hopefully this isn't indicative of how the remainder of your pregnancy will go.  Our entire house just got over that stomach flu, but it only lasted about 36 hours.

As the above posters mentioned, be sure to get checked for dehydration, because it can creep up on you quickly.  Take care!

My Dr said that Imodium AD and Kaopectate were ok to take for diarrhea.  You definitely need to make sure your not dehydrated if the vomiting has been severe.   Call your Dr in the am or go to the hospital.

I would go to your doctor or hospital and get them to check that you aren't dehydrated. It can be very serious for your baby... They should also be able to advise you on safe medication to take.
