Brown or dark blood is old blood and even though it is really scary, the bright red blood is what you should be alarmed about. Your cervix and uterus are constantly changing with pregnancy and especially in the beginning, which can cause a little bleeding. When the ligaments stretch, and also when your cervix is even bumped.(ex. during intercourse or a vag exam) The blood supply to that area is nearly doubled and the vessels are sensitive so the slightest bit of trauma can cause you to spot. However, it should always be addressed with your physician and if you have more than just a tablespoon, it should be addressed very quickly. Good luck and God bless you and your little one.
When I was pregnant with my daughter I had dark spotting at around 7 weeks. My ob also said not to worry over dark blood. I had a perfectly healthy daughter! Good you went and saw the doc!

hopfuly everything is ok:) ill say a prayer
Have you had sex or an internal lately? That can make you spot especially brown. I would still call the dc in the morning and get an u/s. YOu will feel better and put your mind at ease but I had the same thing after sex
Like munter I had a m/c last year and would be calling at the drop of a hat. If you feel that something is off I would definatly call the dr. Hopefully it's just a little blood vessel busted or something...My sister has had bleeding on and off during her pregnancy from that. But it can't hurt to be sure.
i would go doc to put your mind at ease and to be on safe side.good luck hun xx
I'm not sure bu ti am also 14 weeks pregnant and if it was me spotting i would probably ring the doctors especially b/c i had a m/c in Oct last year so i'm paranoid about anything. Put your mind at ease and ring just to be safe.
