17 weeks cramping and weirdness little worried

Hey all - Hopefully I'm worrying for nothing, and that is not unlike me. I'm wondering if anyone else feels these things. I know the most common cause of miscarriage in the second trimester is incompetent cervix. So natually, I worry about this although probably have no reason to. I went to the doc on tuesday and there was a med student in the room who did the doppler. She pushed so damn hard I dont know why, but i was sore the rest of the day. I've been having cramping the last few days and was woken up by sharp pains a few times.  I walked my dog and was also cramping. I stood up last night and my whole abdomen tightened up, BH?? Also, I've been having shooting pains in my vagina. None of these things are actually painful, I just worry about the baby. I have my anatomy scan on Tuesday, do they check the cervix at this time?

It very well could be completely normal, but like smjmekg said it's best to mention it to your doc.  Just call and speak with the nurse and tell them that you'd just rather be safe than sorry and explain what has been going on and see what they say.  I'm 16 weeks today.  I get aches and pains a lot.  Last night I walked intot he kitchen and all of the sudden it felt like something kicked my cervix and i had an instant urge to pee.  But this is my 8th pregnancy so I feel a lot more aches/pains/twinges etc and I feel more pressure down there becuase everything kind of hangs lower since my ligaments and such have been stretched and restretched so many times.  It is commong/normal to get BH this early though.  One thing you can try is to just take it easy and drink tons of water.  Dehydration or being close to it CAN bring on BH.

I'd mention it to the doctor and see what they say. BH are normal in pregnancy. I had them from before 23 weeks until I delivered. The pain in your cervix can be normalish. I felt it a lot when I was further, not as early as 17 weeks though. If you're having pain, I was told before 36 weeks, 4 times an hour than go to the ER. When you have them lay on your left side and drink water, water, water, and I mean a LOT. If they don't go away I'd be more worried. But make sure you stay hydrated.
