Hello, I am 35 weeks, and I have pregnancy induced hypertensia. They admitted me to labor&delivery a few weeks ago, and monitired me over night, and did a 24 hour urine sample. It was to test for protein in the urine so they could determine if I have pre-eclampsia, luckily that was negative. They also ran a few blood tests. My doctor decided not to go the medicine route, they decided to have me monitor at home once a day with a blood pressure cuff, and be easy with salt and caffeine intake. They also set me an induction date, for exactly 37 weeks, which most likely is a scheduled c-section at this point, due to my baby still being in breech. If he turns they are inducing if not theyre giving me an epidural and delivering hin via c-sec. The best thing to do is take it easy, don't get upset, and watch for signs like migraines, dizziness, nausea, and seizures, as those are signs of pre-eclampsia(which cab develop at any time) or your blood pressure being too high. Some doctors will try meds.if you're early on in your pregnancy. Just listen to them, take their advice, and ask as many questions as possible. Try not to get upset if you have to stay over night at the hospital for a pre-eclampsia suspicion, as you will just make your bP worse(trust me I know). Good luck, and don't stress too much.

If they can't get it under control you will have to have the baby early...but not this early! Not sure if they have a med thats safe during pregnancy or not. Do you exercise? That can also help with BP

What are they doing to help you lower it. I read it is dangerous to the baby if it gets to high. And you can get preclancia.
