sorry to hear you are going through this, but it does sound like a theatened miscarrige, as i had the same thing in january this year which resulted in a miscarrige at 7 weeks, i hope it all works out for you, but i was bleeding and passing clots with mild cramping.. did they say if your cervix was still closed?? but as angltina said it happens for a reason and i'm sure everything will work out for you

I experienced the same thing in January 2010...if it helps at all i did go to the er they ran some test my symptoms were period like cramps/pains (it basicly just felt like i was having one of my rougher periods) and was passing clots bright red = fresh blood black = old blood.....i was just told i was having a miscarriage and since there really isnt anything to do to prevent it they just recommended taking tylenol for the pain and a heating pad and then i followed up with my doctor for about 3 weeks while they tracked my HCG back down to 0.....just to prepare yourself from what your symptoms are it seems like a possible miscarriage **BUT I AM NOT A DOCTOR** just someone who went thru something similar...but to give you hope i had a miscarriage in January 2010 and im now 6 weeks preggo!! Things happen in life for a reason so have faith in that

I would go to another hospital and not tell them about going to your dr at all. They will so a us to see what is going on. Did they already do blood work? If that is still OK, your hCG and you are not currently bleeding then they will not be in a rush. If you go to another ER just say you were passing clots and you are in pain and they will do a scan and also check your hCG again. If you tell them what color them they will not do a scan. I know that is not really truthful but as you are not currently with an active bleed tehy can just send you to your regular OB and do not have to find the cause. The best kind of hospital is one near a down town or a learning hospital where they tend to run more tests and "teach" more then just a private hospital and move em in and out. KNow what I am saying. I would also find another OB!!!!! That is not a good sign that he is making you wait that long. I guess he does not have a scan tech at his office! That is not good and any good OB will do the scan himself if for some reason his tech is out of the office! Or have you go in for a level 2 scan at the hospital asap.

GO in girl! Waiting to find something out is not good if something can be done, like you need progesterone or something, which also needs checked!

I am surprised they are making you wait 4 days, must be a very busy area????  That is nuts.. If there is one thing I know about miscarriages, they always say sometimes bleeding is okay but if it is associated with cramping and sharp back pain then it usually is a miscarriage.  I hope everything is okay but 4 days is al ong time to leave you stressed out about the health of your pregnancy!

oh that does not sound good! You should never pass clots at all during pregnancy. It may be a mc and sounds like old blood. THe only other thing I know it might be is clots from pooled blood from a subchorionic hemorage, that can be a problem if it is behind the placenta other then that it scars you to death but is usually fine and nothing to worry about.

But in your case you need to go straight to the er to get a us and hCG draw to see what is going on. Hope every thing is fine
