Early pregnancy issues

I'm 7weeks pregnant and I have no appetite. I feel horrible all day. My friends say they smoked weed to help and it did not hurt the baby, is this correct? Of course I would only do it in small amount just to get an appetite.

I wouldn't just because if for some reason they test your or the baby and you smoked late in pregnancy, it would show up. I don't oppose smoking weed but I wouldn't just because I had a m/s last year and I smoked to make myself eat, don't think they were related by any means, just makes me paranoid. lol

I ate spearmints to control my nausea, or talk to your doctor and they should give you meds for it, mine gave me some, never ended up having to take them, long story. Butttttt, I hear they work. :)

I would say no. I'm not against smoking weed I don't personally smoke but my husband does. We both believe that it is natural made from the earth therefor not a drug. But we also both agree that it should not be smoked during pregnancy because the baby's brain is still developing. In my opinion there's a higher chance of it hurting the baby than not. And we too have a cousin who's custody was taken away for it having thc in its system. I suffer from morning sickness as well. I make myself eat something small every time it comes on and it usually goes away. Try just snacking all day even if you don't  really feel like it.

Of the hospital happens to test the baby for drugs & they find drugs in t, your baby will be taken away from you because they see pothead pregnant mothers as unfit. No judgement or anything, I know people who have smoked during pregnancy. I also know someone who can only see their child once a month with supervision because they happened to have thc traces in their baby's body & in the placenta or cord. not sure.

I am 9 weeks and 5 days and I have a severe case of morning sickness nothing stays down and not even the nausea pills works. I only take one pull off a blunt so I can eat
But I don't smoke all the time occasionally only but it does help me eat

I was sick from weeks 4-17 and I mean ALL day sickness. The ONLY thing that helped me was the candy cane red and white mints. Nothing else. Some people say crackers before you get up in the morning might help. It didn't help me though.

I would highly recommend not smoking ANYTHING during your pregnancy. I am not against anyone who smokes weed... but I just think it's irresponsible during a pregnancy because every little thing you are putting into your body, goes to the baby first THEN you. If it were the other way around, maybe it would be different. But that baby is priority in your body and your body takes care of IT first.

I would say, just remember that the sickness is temporary... you won't be feeling like this after the first trimester... so hang in there and do what is right for your little bambino!!

Congrats and good luck!

I completely understand your problem. I still have horrible morning sickness and I'm 15 weeks + 2 days. When I spoke to my midwife about smoking pot, she told me it's actually alot better then smoking ciggerettes and I have smoked threw this pregnancy because its the only way for me to want to eat. My midwife even said it would be good so long as I was eating (Because I was and still am loosing weight)
