Ectopic Pregnancy- When to try again

Recently my husband and I starting trying to conceive. With our first try I was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy. (I had no risk factors) At the time my HCGs levels were pretty low at 173. So I was given an injection of 100 mg of Methotrexate.  I realize I need to wait 2 months for the drug to leave my body before trying to get pregnant. Once my HCG levels return to normal and I get a normal period can we begin trying again? I have heard that we may need to wait as long as 6 months so that the tube can repair itself.  But considering my levels were low can we try sooner?

Because you used a drug to miscarry, instead of having your fallopian tube removed, there is a good chance you may begin trying after you have had 2-3 periods. I'd definitely verify with your doctor just in case!
