gross question..

hey everyone, recently I have been experiencing some rather strange discharge. I guess it is cervival mucus? Anyway at first it was just white. And ever since last week (wk 13) it has been thicker and tinted light green in color. gross i know. Does this mean I have an infection? I dont have any pain or discomfort. Any ideas?

I would say get checked ASAP, it may not be a serious infection but there are some infections that if left untreated can harm the pregnancy...I had UTI a few times, and my doctor scolded me for not coming sooner because it could cause a miscarriage...I've read that Bacterial Vaginosis can cause a preterm birth/miscarriage depending on how far along if it's not treated ASAP, and a yeast infection, which is very common during the pregnancy can be treated with a cream...I would just go to the doctors and see what kind of infection it is just to be safe.

Its normal to have discharge.  Not sure about color in the discharge though.

It sounds like an infection but don't worry.  Your doctor will just give you a cream to insert (something like monistat) and that will take care of it.  Infections are much more common during pregnancy.  I get a lot of them when I'm pregnant.
