Evil red pill

Ok this is kind of embarassing but I was just prescribed an iron-multi vit pill n I can't swallow the damn thing!! It's so huge n I tried swallowing it with a piece of bread but the bread went down n the pill was still stuck in my mouth. The worse part is it's a slow release tab n I can't even chew or crush it! I'm getting so frustrated with myself. Does anyone know if there is a chewable or liquid form that I can take?  :(

I'm not sure how much iron you are supposed to take, but when I was pregnant I always had to go on iron supplements in addition to my prenatals.  I took the brand "Slow Fe" and they are really tiny pills.  They are also slow release iron pills.  So I would take that and then take my normal prenatal vitamin.  Maybe ask your doctor about taking those instead?
