when does the baby "drop" ???

i dont mean when the baby goes head down, i mean, when he or she is already heads down and "drops" further into the pelvis?

With my daughter i dont remember that she ever "dropped"

im almost 36wks and i have no idea if my son has already "dropped" as far as he can go into my pelvis? I mean, i have really bad sciatic pain that NEVER goes away with anything i do...i cant feel my right butt cheek anymore due to loss of feeling, it feels like there is a bowling ball in vagina....i sometimes feel like he's going to serious just fall out of me....

so would that mean he has "dropped" or no?
the whole "dropping" concept is weird to me

I think it depends. Im still waiting for this one to completely drop..but im already dilated and effaced! Ive been bouncing on an exercise ball and on my hands and knees cleaning to help her drop more!

Tmi but if you can press your va jj and feel a lump lol its more than likely the babies head...and if your va jj hurts when your getting up or rolling over in bed.....then baby is engaged...ha ha my midwife had to tell me because I had all this going on and still didn't think my baby dropped lmao
