FTM false labour?

I'm 3 days over and have had contractions for 4 hours at 8 to 10 min apart, and now they just jumped to 30 mon, apart the last few ones. I'm so frustrated, when should I start keeping track to stop getting my hopes up? How did everyone else manage? Any advice? :(

It's frustrating I know!!! I had a sweep don't Tuesday afternoon and iv been contracting since then, on and off... But I woke up today with them 8-10mins apart. There so painful! Now I have the runs (sorry TMI)... I'm hoping this is it this time.

Keep in mind that labor is defined by cervical change...not just contractions. I tell patients that its time to go to the hospital when contractions are strong enough that you have to stop what you're doing and breathe through them. Basically...of you are not sure if its time...its probably not time. Of course you should go right away if your water breaks, you bleed, or you experience decreased fetal movement...even if you're not contracting
