Faint BFP getting fainter???? Bad???

Question

We got a BFP about three days ago, but it was pretty light. I tested the next day because I wanted to see a darker line, but it was actually lighter. So then I was worried. I tested the two next days & each day the line was even lighter to the point now it is so faint as to barely be seen... however it is still there & definitely pink. So here I am now with four light BFP all from first morning urine that are getting lighter each day. I am 16dpo and think they should be fairly dark by now if I am pregnant. I have some early pregnancy signs and AF is approx 3 days late. It's New Years weekend & my doc said to come in for a blood test Monday... which is a whole four days away! An eternity. Has anyone ever had a BFP that got lighter each day & still stayed pregnant?

Thanks Connie... praying your tests on Thurs turn out great!   I think my next little one just didn't want to be born a Leo.  Which is fine by me... one Leo in the family is quite enough for anyone!  Here's to a Happier New Year & me maybe getting a little Virgo... or a Libra would be great!

OP here.  It turned out not good.  This morning my bbt dropped back down low, got a BFN test & AF started this evening.  Guess it was just a chemical pregnancy / early miscarriage.  Darn it.  I was so happy... I got my BFP on exactly the same day I got one for our DD four years ago (Dec 28).  The calculated due date was her original due date too!  I'm really sad, but I'm choosing to see this as my little one's message to me that  (s)he's on the way and just to be patient and wait a little longer....

It's really hard to say. I don't want to freak you out but I had the exact same situation and ended up miscarrying at 5 weeks. I hope everything turns out well for you though. Keep us updated!!

I had a light test, then the next morning it was barely even noticable.  I have a doc appoint Thursday, which DOES seem like an eternity.  my symptoms come and go, but I am definately still pregnant.  The amount of the hormone in your urine completely depends on how much you drink and eat.  All of times the urine can get diluted from drinking and it seems fainter. My test was darker when I took it in the evening when I was too busy to drink but kept needing to go. So i took it and it showed, but I drink a lot at night and it was almost gone the next morning.  So it's different for everyone.
