Feeling Super Bummed!

So as most of you know, my husband is military, and we are stationed about 1,400 miles away from our home. When I found out I was pregnant, my parents planned to come out for the birth (I really wanted my mom here.) They were going to wait got closer to my due date so they could try to make it for the birth. Well, my mom called me today and told me that my dad got laid off, so they're not going to be able to come when the baby is born! I feel so bummed!!! I mean, luckily we are going to be moving closer to home at the end of September (I'm due September 13th) but I feel like Harrison is going to come sooner, and I really wanted my mom to be here. Its hard enough being military, being far away from both of our families, and being pregnant on top of that. Like most military families, our support system here is very tiny (we have two very close couple friends and that's really about it.) It just s.u.c.k.s. and I'm bummed! :(

Yeah this is our first too which makes it hard. I really wish we could do that because that's an awesome idea, but for both of them to fly out the tickets are well over $500 a piece (when we flew home in June it was $1200 to fly for my husband and I.)

It's nice to hear from other milso's though who understand! Sometimes I just feel so lonely being so far away!

Hopefully something spectacular happens an they will be able to make it. or if u have any money maybe u can set it aside for them a little weekend trip after he is born to stay with u. My brother is military snd they set aside a hundred each check and brought my mom to Texas for my nieces birth. and yes its really hard cause its our first but I guess duty calls

Thank you! I had a feeling that something was going to trip them up so they couldn't come, but its still a bummer I can't imagine not having my husband there! We were thankful that my husband was suppose to be deployed in January, but since we were recently married, they let him stay here, and then we found out we were pregnant, so he missed deployment again.
