labor soon???

started having what i thought was a mild stomach ache at 1030am. I am 37+1 and measuring 2 weeks ahead ftm. I went to my weekly doc appt at 1230. By the time i got to the room, i was in pain. I was cramping down the middle of my stomach. The doc checkes my cervix and I was 1cm 50%effaced . They decided to hook me up to a monitoring machine and I was indeed having contractions. They were irregular but getting stronger. They tech looked at my lips and automatically thought I was dehydrated but I had been breathing soley through mouth for at least the last 40 minutes due to the pain. I believe I'm not dehydrated, I drink like crazy and urinate every 90minutes(tmi). They sent me home and told me to take a warm bath and drink fluids. It is now 2:02am and still contracting but they continue to be irregular. I will have a couple mild ones then l will have a super strong one that will radiate from my belly to my vagina. I'm not sure what to do. Also in between contractions, I will have have pain in my vagina as if someone kicked me. Will I go into labor soon? What are some things I can do to get things moving? And when is the right time to go to the hospital?

Best thing to help things along is gravity walk for as long as you can. If the pain is too much I found a heat pack near the lower belly while curled into fetal position worked best for me. I went on to have a drug free labour using these techniques.
