First 6W ultrasound..what to expect?

Tomorrow....the biggest day so far in my pregnancy....the first ultrasound!!!! I've done some research but wanted to get some feedback as to what to expect and what to ask? I know that I should be looking at the size (2-5mm or 0.08-0.16 in) and heartbeat (100-140 bpm). Is this correct? Anything else? Also, I have a probability to be preg with more than one...anything else I should ask?

I went for the U/S and got the best news ever.....Twins! They both measure 4mm but could not tell me about their heartbeat, althougt we saw their hearts beating fast! I'm so happy! Thank you al for your comments!

At 5 weeks 6 days I saw baby in the sac and a heartbeat of 90 beats per minute. Make a list of any questions you have so you don't forget like what is your due date any procautions you should take are you allowed to exercise and travel. Bring a list of medications so OB can confirm they are all safe in pregnancy. Also if you are not already on prenatal vitamins this is the time to get a prescription.

Sometimes at this early in gestation the heart rate migh be as high as 180's. Mine was always in the 180's until close to 12weeks.

hey what a similar story I too may be pregnant with twins, and I am at 6 weeks, if you think of any questions you did not ask just ask me, cause I go for my first U/S on Thursday so I can ask my doc...Good luck
